Sand Hallow

Izzy was out of school his week so I told her if she were good all week I would take her swimming. She was so good so we decided to go to Sand Hallow. It is the big indoor pool we have here. We invited Cynthia (Brad's Mom) to bring Ali, Mandi, & Sam (Brad's sister Jessica's Kids) to come have fun with us. Izzy loves playing with them and we knew they would have so much fun. MaKayla and her friend Lacy came over after they got out of school. We all had so much fun together. We were the only ones in the whole place fore the first hour 1/2. So they got to go up and down the stairs OVER AND OVER the whole time without waiting.

Sam and Emily had a blast hanging out in the water, Emily was facinated with the foutain she kept trying to grab the water.

After a couple of hours Cynthia took Emily, Sam, and Mandi home for naps. I got to stay with the older kids (Izzy, Ali, MaK, and Lacy) and have fun. It was so nice to play with my older girls and have fun. MaKayla asked if it was nice for me to be able to relax and have fun? I said YES!! I dont' get a lot of uninterrupted moments to hang out with her and Izzy without the baby.

Me and MaK had swimming contests and she learned to not plug her nose after being under the water and to swim with her eyes open in the water.

The pool someow washed away one of my contacts and so I could only see with one eye for the last hour! The drive home was interresting with one eye!

We had so much fun!!!

Another Milestone!

Ok, so it has not been that long since Emily could sit all by herself, then army crawl! Well last night me and Brad were on the couch watching Emily play and she grabbed her toy box and pulled herself up on her feet!! Quickly I got my camera and she did it again and again! I cannot believe how fast she is growing! She loves to stand up, she can stand with only holding onto your fingers and tries to take off walking. I think she might be walking early!! AGH! She is so cute and it is so fun to watch her grow up, even if it is faster than I would like!!

Book Updates!

Breaking Dawn:
This is the fourth and final book in the twilight Series. I did enjoy the book, not as much as some as the others beacuse instead of wondering about everything and waiting it answered my questions. It was a little over the top, and silly but it was written for teanagers! The ending was quick and kindof felt a little dissapointed because I wanted a Fight!! Overall it was good and glad I read it!

Fury & Light:

I absolutly loved this one!! It is the Fourth book in The Great and Terrible series. It is amazing, I highly recommend that the first 3 are read before this one. It is continued from them in the last days. I did however wake up in the night several times after reading it, I won't say why because I don't want to spoil anything for anyone! It does make me very grateful for all my blessings and the gospel.

From The End Of Heaven:

This is the Fifth book in The Great and Terrible series. Wow, what an amazing story. The cool thing about this is that the author is a retired air force pilot, so he is very descriptive in the war scenes and such. I looked up and I think that the 6th book is going to come out in October. I sure hope so, I cannot wait to see what happens. It made me realize that we all are here for a certain perpose. Heavenly Father really loves every single one of us!! He has a plan and we are ALL part of it!! I am so grateful for the Gospel and that we have our Prophet to lead us and guide us! I hope everyone takes the time to read this series, it is AWSOME!!

Chad's Wedding

My nephew Chad Got married on Saturday the 23rd of Aug. He is the youngest of my oldest sister Julie's kids. It was a beautiful ceremony and reception. They did evrything very quickly wich was nice for the guests. Aleasea's mom made two beautiful cakes both gorgeous although I didn't get any pitures of them :( As they were dancing and had the daddy/daughter dance, me and my sister and niece were all a blubbering mess, I decided my girls are NOT going to get married if there is anything I can do about it!! I know, yeah right, but it won't be easy!! Anyways, Aleasa's dress was one of the most beautiful wedding dresses I have ever seen! My neices Kaity, Trish, and Tina sand some sweet Kareoke in the back!!

Izzy Starts Gymnastics

Last week Izzy started gymnastics. She is very excited! They started with strretching, then they practiced different jumps on the trampoline, then on the beam the walked across forwards, backwards, jummping over stuff, and hopping. They also did somersaults, cartwheels, and jumps. She did very well and at the end said "Mom, i think my teacher thinks I was the best!" Such confidence!! I am so happy to see her do something she loves!!

Emily Sits Up By Herself!!

Well, she keeps getting bigger and bigger, no matter how hard I try to prevent it!! Emily is now sitting up all by herelf! She is growing so fast, I can't believe it!

First Day of School... 2008

MaKayla started 8th grade yesterday! She is growing up so fast! She is now in he middle school, so it's a pretty big deal!!

Izzy started Kindergarden yesterday! She is so big now! Yesterday was a warm up where I went with her and it was only 30 min long. At the end she looked at me and said "is that it?" She was pretty dissapointed in how short it was.

Today she went for the full day and all by herslef. I walked her to the sidewalk and then she said "OK mom, that is far enough, I can go from here!" Then she let go of my hand and started running....I stood there shocked for a second thinking where are the tears? where is the I am scared mom, stay with me?....I should have known better! But jsut as I was feeling abandoned, she stopped dead in her tracks, turned around, ran back to me, and gave me a great big hug and kiss and said "I love you mom!" then sher turned back around and ran.

I kept my composure but still made Brad wait until the bell rang and got in line to go into class JUST INCASE!! I teared up for a bit, but held it together.

It seems as though yesterday I was standing with MaKayla for her first day as she was bouncing up and down so excited! Now she is in Middle School!! Time flies by!

TURNING 30!!

Today is my 30th birthday!! It was a good time! Yesterday we celebrated mine, my niece Tina who is 20, and my great-nephew Brecken who is 1, birthdays! We each got a cake with some candles!! It was fun to share the moment!

Today was AWESOME! MaKayla took me to get manicures and pedicures!! It was so nice, I love spending quite time with her!! I love being girly and doing fun stuff!! After that we went to lunch with Brad and the girls. Then I took the girls to get their pictures done at Sears (Luann is my first choice, but Sears has the #5)...They turned out so cute! Then tonight me and Brad went to dinner with my best friends Danyelle and Jaylin (Glen too!) at the Olive Garden. I have such good friends, I am very blessed!!

I must brag because Brad is taking me to see the Phantom of the Opera in Vegas this weekend and I am so excited!!! I have been asking forever to go and he got it all planned out! He is so Awesome! i am a very lucky woman!! Thanks to everyone who called and sent presents!! I love my family and friends! I could not ask for more!!! THANKS to all of you, you make me feel so loved!

Washington County Fair

Ok, so there a few things in life I completely enjoy 100% and the annual Wash. Co. Fair is one of them!!! I absolutely LOVE the fair!! Every year it seems to fall on, or close to my birthday, so I always get to go :) This year we took Izzy (MaKayla was busy with her babysitting business) and I think I have found someone who enjoys it as much as I do! In the pictures she is going on the huge slide, which she hiked herself and went down 2 times like a champ!! She drove the 4X4 smiling, and looked a little stressed at times cause I think she thought she was really driving and was nervous about the turns!! And with her hands in the air THE WHOLE TIME!!! on the roller coaster!! Anyone who doesn't enjoy the fair is dead inside!! I LOVE IT!!!!

Izzy's 5th Birthday!!

Izzy turned five and is just about excited as anyone could possibly imagine!! She had planned to go bowling for her birthday, something she had been looking forward to for months now!! Well, things have been crazy for me and so I didn't check until the "day of" to make sure it wasn't league night.....it was league night EVERYWHERE!! So, Izzy really wanted a pinata and because she was going to go bowling, we werent' going to do the pinata.......so, at 1.5 hours til the party I called everyone and told them to come here. I ran to the Party Store and got a bunch of Tinker Bell stuff and a Pinata

It turned out to be so cute!! And everyone had suc a good time. Ryan was the one to break the pinata, so in tradition he go to wear it as a hat!! He looks so cute and is such a good sport!!

Izzy's highlights were: the pink laptop, moon sand (she has asked for over a year for it), her bike, and her cash register (sorry no pic)... She loved all her presents and thank you to everyone who came, it was so fun!!

Emily's Milestone

Today is yet another milestone for Emily! We introduced her to Carrots, and she liked them! She ate quite a bit today!! Yeah!! She is getting so big!! :(

Izzy's Weekend

THIS BLOG IS LENGTHY-- IT WAS SUCH A GOOD TIME!!
This weekend, we had the opportunity to take Izzy on her own special vacation! We left Friday night and drove to Springville and stayed and Brad's brother Scott's house. Our friend Rob and his daughter Kayla came up with us.
Saturday we got up early and drove to Lagoon. Scott, Luann, Alex, Ellie, Gweneth, Andrea, Rob, Kayla, Brad, Steph, and Izzy were all came!!
There are a few traditions we have when it comes to Lagoon. For starters, the big white roller coaster is always the first ride we go on. Izzy was upset because she was too short.....this became a pattern for the day :(....but she got to go on the carosel right next to it so she was happy :) Another tradition is Brad always gets the greasy pizza for lunch...and for a snack we get churros. Dinner is a must at Pioneer Park the delicious corn on the cob and BBQ dinner YUMMY!! To end the day we stay til it closes and get a carmel apple on the way out, Izzy chose to get popcorn instead!
It was so fun with everyone highlights of the day were: Izzy being upset because she was too short for a lot of the rides.. Izzy after every ride would say "I love that one! Let's go on it again RIGHT NOW!!!" (she definately is a thrill seeker!) Getting completely soaked on the rattle snake rapids! Again getting completely soaked on the log ride! Gweneth loosing it when she got soaked on the rattle snake rapids! Andrea taking Ellie's hat from her (Ellie just has wonderful taste and Andrea follows!) Gweneth getting stuck on the bumper cars and the whole crowd cheering her on to help her move! Kayla saying "I don't want to go on that one again, it makes my head Dizzy" AND OF COURSE: as we were getting ready to leave a lady pulling a wagon with a huge toddler completely passed out I mean dead to the world!! LOL it was so funny!
We were luky to come home after a long day with no major accidents. Izzy fell out of the kid swings and took a chunk out of her knee, but after getting a bandaid she was ready to go on again! And Kayla kept on getting bloody noses. Not too bad for the number of kids we had with us and the long day!
The next morning (early afternoon) we all got up and Luann cooked us YUMMY bisquits and gravy YUM! Brad got to check out thier huge Projector TV and played the Wii on it! Then we all got ready and went to Bingham Canyon to the Copper Mine. It is the biggest open pit mine in the world!! Izzy, Rob and Kayla had never been there, so it was cool to go show them. We got to watch a cool movie that as Brad says "tells you what all that crap around Tooele is!"
The weekend was so fun, and it was nice having alone time with Izzy!!
