Jumping Jacks

All of Brads neices and nephews are in town for the week, so we are having fun going on different outings. Yesterday we went to the splash pad in Santa Clara. Today we went to Jumping Jacks where it is a huge warehouse full of bounc things. The kids all played for over 2 hours and were still haing a blast. Andrea, and Gweneth didnt like it at first. Andrea was ok if someone was holding her, and Gweneth loved it as soon as she went down the big slide. She then wanted to go on the biggest one! no problem other than half the ladder was broken, so I couldn't not let her go up, so I put her on my back and carried her up. Everything started out fine until Mandy slipped into Izzy who then slipped into me (this is half way up) then I slipped and took out Alex and the a couple of unfortunate kids behind me! But we didnt give up and we made it to the top and it was worth the smile on her face!! All in all, it was awesome!!!! I cant' wait to go back with the girls, we all had so much fun!

Kroff Family Reunion

We had such a fun time at our reunion this year! It was our anual Kroff Family Reunion. It consists of my parents, and their spouses, my 9 brothers and sisters and their spouses, and their 30+ grandchildren. This year we had a total of 53 people come. That is everyone but one of my brothers (Robbie) and his family, and my nehew (Brandon) and his family.....WE MISSED THEM DEARLY!!!

We had so much fun the kids did crafts they made hats, yo yo's, masks, angels, drums, and wind chimes. There was also swimming, boating, kayaking, fishing, hackysac, and haging out. We had pretty good weather, although a few wind storms blew in suddenly and it got a little crazy. A little rain here and there, but pretty good.

We usually only go for Friday and Saturday night, butthis year we stayed an extra night, it was so cool!! I loved being around my family, it is usually the only time of the year we are all together at once. It is something I look forward to every summer, and the kids do too!

The Great and Terrible Series

Ok, so while waiting for the 4th book of the Twilight series BREAKING DAWN I started reading this series The Great and Terrible by Chris Stewart. I am on the third book of 5 in the series so far. The first book is about premortal life in Heaven where everyone is choosing whose plan to follow, the second and third are here on Earth. I am completely in love with this series!! I owe all my thanks to my sister Suzie who introduced me, and also let me borrow the first two!!

I love summers, I seem to get so much reading done!

THE BIGGEST FISH EVER!!!

Ok, so this deserves its very own post!! I usually give Brad a hard time because he goes fishing all day and doesn't catch a lot of fish sometimes, well he made up for it this time! He cought thebiggest fish I have ever seen someone catch, and he got it from fishing off the shore!! It weighed 4 lbs and was 21.5 inches long!! I think that is as big as some babies!! This fish was so big, we had to take lots of pictures of it, Brad was so proud of it, and so am I!! He definatley got the prize for the biggest catch!!
I posted the picture of the fish next to Emily and also Brad's foot to show how huge this thing was! Oh yeah, it tasted great too!!

Camping

This past weekend, we went camping up to Panguich Lake with Brad's parents and Niece Ali. I went up Friday night with Isabelle and Emily and Doug and Cynthia and Ali, we had a fun time setting up camp, taking a walk checking the campground out and making smores. Saturday Brad came up after school. He spent the day fishing with his parents, Izzy and Ali. I stayed at camp reading my lastest book in the Brothers series and resting with Emily (much better than fishing if you ask me)! MaKayla was a Youth Confrence and joined up with us later that afternoon. We had a good day playing games and enjoying the cool air. I came home early Sunday with Emily to get some much needed rest, and Brad, MaKayla, Izzy, and his family came home later that afternoon after another day of fishing. It was such a good time and a fun place to camp.

Brad's Pilot License!!

After a long anticipating wait, Brad finally recieved his Private Pilot License in the mail. He is so excited, and we are so proud of him!! YEAH!

Hawker Family Reunion

This year for the Hawker Family Reunion we went to Duck Creek Camp Ground. We arrived Thursday night and stayed until Sunday. Everyone in the family was there! A total of 20 people in all.
Everyone spent time fishing at the nearby lakes, grandpa Hawker took the prize of biggest fish at 18in long! We also enjoyed hiking up the nearby trail that was behind the campground.
Last year Brad carved Izzy's name in a tree, this year we went and got a picture of her by it, then he carved MaKaylas name in a tree and also Emily. We didnt get a picture of Emily because she fell asleep, so we will have to go back up there this year to get a picture.
Everyone had a fun time playing games (including our 4 hour plus game of THE FARM GAME) and spending time together. It was a good time with everyone, I am so glad we have the chance to all be together:)
