Emily's 1st Birthday

Emily is 1 year old! How fast time flys by!! I am so proud of the little girl she is. At her 1 year check up she is 18.4 lbs. She has been walking for several months now and can say night night, da da, no no, and is starting to run and dance to music! Here are a whole bunch of my favorite photos and memories over the past year!!

Catching Up..

So things have been very busy with us moving and all, but I decided with Emily's birthday tomorrow and me and Brad's 9th anniversary next week, I had better do some catching up! This is what we have been doing the past weeks: Last weekend Brad's brother Scott and his family came down and went hiking with us, Luann (Scott's wife) is an amazing photographer and took these cool pictures! Good thing, cause I forgot my camera! This is all the grandkids except Emily and Sam on Brad's side of the family. They are lined up in order from youngest to oldest!

Yep, Brad's mom braved the giant rock, this is her with the grandkids!

Emily loves the outdoors, she didn't cry once while we were hiking. She has made up for it since because she has her top two teeth coming in and hasn't stopped crying about it!

This is the map of where we went. Thanks Brad for planning!

This was my fav photo of the day, it's Brad with Emily in the backpack on our way down.

We have moved into Brad's parents house and getting all settled in. Now the kids have a special "playroom" just for toys, there is a big treasure chest full of dress up clothes, Izzy was modeling her "new look" for me, makeup and all!

As a tradition, I get the girls ears pierced for their first birthday, I have Emily's pictures scheduled on her birthday so I wanted to get them done early. Well thinking it would be quick I went to WalMart. These are the marks the lady made all over Emily's ear. This picture was taken after we left, notice NO EARINGS!

My nieces showed up at WalMart while we were waiting for the guy in this photo to get to work so he could do the earings, Trish my niece was so brave to hold Emily down. I am holding her face. Needless to say, he said her earlobes were too small and couldn't do it! UGH!

This is everyone waiting for the big moment that didn't happen

These are the earings I had picked out for her to get. Cute pink flowers! They ended up not even having them, so good thing it didn't work out!

This is the (not-so-confident) lady who cleaned the ears

AT LAST SUCCESS! I ended up going to Claire's in the mall, and paying much more money than WalMart, but it was definately worth it! The lady was AWESOME, very confident and knew what she was doing! This is Emily after we were done, she didn't cry long, and if you look at the photo closely, there are dents in her head from where my watch was digging into her while I was holding her down. Sorry baby! But i did get those cute flowers I had picked out! :)

BIG NEWS!!! Brad is now to be known as Mr. Chubbs!! He went back down to Long Beach and passed his Certified Flight Instructor test (CFI) It is the biggest and hardest test of all of them, and he did great!! He can now get paid to teach people to fly helicopters!! YEAH!! Only one more written test and one more Long Beach test to go, he is scheduled for his CFII on the 26th of Feb. He will then be Officially done with school !! YIPPEE! WAY TO GO!!

Yes, in the middle of all this we moved! Here is a picture of the mess

Another picture of the mess! But hey we did it in one week flat! Pretty Quick!

Izzy had her first gymnastic recital. She got to show off her sweet moves and strength she has learned the past couple of months.

They were showing how they exercise and strengthen their backs! They had to hold this position as long as they could!

She got to run and jump and do a cartwheel and front roll on the tramp!

She got to do a cool routine on the bars. She and only one other girl were in the class so they got to do it over and over and over and over!! She has learned so much and is doing great we are so proud of her!
