Christmas 2012

I love Christmas! This year we stayed in St. George with Brad's parents for Christmas. It was the first time we were not at our own house Christmas morning. We had a fun time and got to share it with Brads parents, and Brother Scott and his family.

We did our usual tradition of going to my Mom's house for Christmas dinner and then the grandkids act out the Nativity scene.

Tradition at Grandma Hawkers is she always gets all the grandkids matching pajamas. Notice Andy is replaced by the dog cause he fell asleep before we got to the pajamas.

December Activities

December is usually a busy month and this year was no exception. We had a fun time doing lots of fun activities with the kids and family. Here are some of our favorite moments!

Helping Grandma Hawker decorate her Christmas Tree

Visiting my family. Briggs, Andy, and Braiden are all the same age. They had so much playing like Army men and wrestling with each other!

We went to the Ethel M Chocolate Museum. We saw how they make and package their chocolate. They also have a huge cactus garden all lit up with lights.

Grandma Boberg 87th Birthday

Today Grandma Boberg turned 87!

She is living in an assisted living home and suffers from dimentia. When we asked her how old she thought she was she said 32 was too old, and laughed when we tolder her she was 87, she said
"well if thats how old I am, then I'm that old" Even though she doesnt know who we are or remember that we were there, it is always special for my kids to see her and get to know her.

Brads Parents came into town to visit for Andy's Brithday. We decided to take them to the Gilcrease Orchird in Summerlin. They had fun picking apples, pears, and playing in the haystack maze.

Izzy's 9th Birthday

Izzy turned 9 this year and we celebrated all weekend long! Her Grandma and Grandpa Hawker came and brought cousins Ali, Mandi, and Gweneth. My Nephew Brandon came and brought his kids also. We went to Chucky Cheese for the Brithday party, Grandma Hawker took Izzy to see Phantom of the Opera for her present, and then we spent a day walking around Vegas looking at some fun casinos. It was such a fun time and so great to have so much family time!

Izzy got to choose someone to go into the ticket booth with her, so she choose Emily. She choose wisely cause Emily grabbed the 1000 ticket prize! It was awesome!

California Vacation Part 1

When we found out Brad was going to be starting a new job, we knew it was going to be a long time until we would have the chance to take the kids on a Vacation. So we decided to pack up and head to California for a weekend getaway. We took Hailey with us and we had so much fun. We stayed down the street from Redondo Beach, boogie boarded at Huntington Beach, and got to see Auntie Beth. We had such a great time with the kids. I am so grateful we got to go!
All of us sporting our sunglasses!

Solar Eclipse

When a solar eclipse comes around, we take is seriously! We drove out to the sweet spot to get the best view of it! We spent the day playing and hanging out together. I didnt get any really cool pictures, but you get the idea. It was fun teaching and having fun with the kids.

One of our favorite family traditions is going to the Nativity Play at Tuachan. It is absolutely freezing, but it always gets us into the Christmas Spirit. Not pictured but we also went with Brad's family who were all here for Christmas
